about

This song was inspired by the slogan "Tanzen, nicht kämpfen". The music is rather heavy, partly because the drums are too loud in the mix. But hey, it was our first album, done all by ourselves with little knowledge and a lot of passion.

lyrics

I walked a thousand miles across the barren fields
Destroyed by greed, blind hate and grinding wheels
I saw the flowers fade, I watched the sun go down
And then peace died without a sound
I asked the morning star just how much we could give
Brother killing brother, never to forgive
There has to be another way to carry on
Before the last white dove is gone

So let us dance the dance of freedom
Stop the fighting let sunlight fill your heart
Dance the dance of freedom
Take the chance to end this bitter war

I sailed into the dawn, I rose up to the skies
I found our leaders now caught up in their lies
I looked into the heart of every man on earth
And found the wish for freedom there

So let us dance the dance of freedom
Stop the fighting let sunlight fill your heart
Dance the dance of freedom
Raise your hands, it's not too late to start

Together we are strong against the rulers of this world
Together we can make our dreams come true

Let us dance the dance of freedom
Stop the fighting let sunlight fill your heart
Dance the dance of freedom
Take the chance to end this bitter war
Dance the dance of freedom
Raise your hands, it's not too late to start
Dance the dance of freedom
Stop the fighting let sunlight fill your heart
Dance the dance of freedom
Raise your hands, it's not too late to start
